How Do You Select an ADHD Coach?

This month's episode of Insights from the Trenches features an honest and insightful conversation with Roger DeWitt, an experienced ADHD coach and coach trainer who brings both personal and professional understanding to the work he does. If you’ve ever wondered what ADHD coaching actually is—or how it’s different from therapy—this episode is a great starting point. Roger and I talk through the coaching process, what makes it effective for many adults with ADHD, and the key traits to look for when choosing a coach that’s a good fit for you or your partner.

Throughout April, I’ve focused on exploring supports beyond traditional therapy, and this episode is a great way to round out that theme. ADHD coaching is something we’re giving a try in our own marriage, and I wanted to share what I’m learning along the way. Roger’s down-to-earth approach and practical insights offer a great window into how coaching can help ADHD couples move forward, build better systems, and find more consistent momentum—without needing to do it all perfectly.
